The motor starter podis® MS 5 HP is the decentralized drive solution for asynchronous motors.

podis® MS 5HP is the first decentralised motor starter in protection class IP65/ NEMA 12 with integrated Safe Torque Off functionality and the smallest motor starter in its performance class.

ALL-IN-ONE DEVICE
Directly integrated safety components and interfaces for external sensors as well as actuators minimize the material and cabling effort which leads to simplified planning and reduced costs in the long term.
EASY CONTROL AND CONFIGURATION
The DIP switch and the matching web configuration result in a user-friendly combination for easy configuration. With the parameterization guidelines included, programming the podis MS 5 HP becomes uncomplicated and results in minimal risk of errors.
MULTIPLE OPERATING MODES
With the user-friendly operating modes Automatic Bus mode (AS-i), Automatic DI mode or Manual mode, the motor starter offers decentralized control and diagnostics locally or from any other location at any time.
INTEGRATED 24 VDC
Due to the integrated 24 VDC digital inputs can be reached out even if the motor is switched off. In addition, the device creates a high system availability, because the rest of the system remains active. The integrated power unit also allows for simpler power supply cabling, which saves material and costs.
ERROR PREVENTION
Downtimes and defects will be prevented thanks to early fault detection. E.g. in case of overload, affected parts of the system will be switched off automatically to protect the motor from further damage and extensive repair or maintenance costs.

Highest safety integrity up to SIL 3/PL e due to integrated safety technology: The first decentralized motor starter in the IP65/NEMA 12 protection class has an integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) without additional safety components. Moreover, it has automatic motor protection functions for blockage detection, overload and low current.
Less cabling and wiring effort combined with a simple integration and space-saving installation makes your planning even easier.
